Your guest already orders from bed. The question is from whom
If ordering out is easier than ordering from you, a courier crosses your lobby with the dinner your kitchen could have sold. Room Order levels the field: the same zero-friction QR, 0% commissions.
The silent F&B leak
It happens every night: the guest is hungry, the printed menu does not tempt, calling feels slow or awkward, and the delivery app is two taps away. The result is a courier in your lobby, an experience outside your control and a food sale your hotel did not capture.
The lesson is not to fight the apps: it is to compete with their own weapons. Guests order where friction is lowest. When your menu is one scan away, with photos, in their language, charged to their folio and with no trip down to the lobby, ordering in wins again. And unlike the apps, which charge the restaurant a commission per order, Room Order charges 0% per order.
How you recover the sale that was leaving
Four fronts where the hotel wins again.
Ordering in, easier than ordering out
The nightstand QR opens your menu instantly: no app, no sign-up, no delivery address. The external app cannot be easier than that.
- One scan and the menu opens
- Zero forms for the guest
- The order arrives at the door
0% commission per order
Delivery apps live off the per-order commission. Room Order charges a fee to operate, not a percentage of your sale: growing does not cost you more.
- Flat fee, not a percentage
- Every extra order is your margin
- Your menu prices under your control
The stay remains your brand
The tray, the timing, the presentation and the service are yours. The guest remembers a great hotel dinner, not a lukewarm bag picked up in the lobby.
- Your service standard
- No couriers in the lobby
- The charge, on the room folio
You capture those who never called
The foreign guest who does not master the language, the shy one, the one on a video call: they all ordered out or did not order. The QR captures them without talking to anyone.
- Menu in the guest language
- Guilt-free, call-free ordering
- 24/7 orders even when the desk sleeps
Some digital room service vendors also charge a per-transaction commission, like the apps. Room Order comes from the opposite fight: it was born so whoever cooks keeps what they sell.

Frequently asked questions
Does Room Order really charge nothing per order?
Zero per order. The model is a fee to operate the platform, not a percentage of your sales. If your room service explodes with orders, your bill with us does not.
How do I compete with the giant catalog of the apps?
You do not compete on variety: you compete on convenience and experience. The guest does not want two hundred options at 11 pm; they want something good, fast and frictionless. The hotel wins there if ordering in is easy.
What if my kitchen closes at night?
Set up a reduced night menu (snacks, drinks, bakery) that does not need a hot kitchen. That is revenue currently going whole to the apps, or being lost.
Does banning external delivery in the hotel work?
It usually creates friction and bad reviews. It is more profitable to make ordering in easier than ordering out: convenience persuades better than prohibition.
What do I need to start?
Your menu with photos, printed QR codes and a screen with a browser in the kitchen. Setup takes hours, not months, and needs no special hardware.
